We have helped in thousands of harassment and bullying situations. Behind our app, we run a nationwide harassment Emergency Unit that provides first aid support for adults, young people and children in difficult situations.
The Emergency Unit consists of experts in various fields: lawyers, social psychologists and psychologists. The experts have specialised skills and understanding of how to handle harassment as well as digital platforms. We train all our experts.
Someturva is an expert company founded in 2017 to prevent and solve bullying and harassment cases. By then, the interaction between people and, indeed our whole society, had spread to social media and other digital environments. The dynamics of the new platforms also exacerbated harassment and its impact.
To address this challenge we developed Someturva. Someturva is a service where anyone can get timely and professional help for harassment or bullying. Harassment and bullying often cause shame and even guilt, which is why our service works in an easy-to-use app where you can tell about your situation to our professionals with low threshold and anonymously.
We believe that a new era is emerging, where everyone has access to help and legal protection when they face harassment or bullying online or offline.
As the problem escalates on digital platforms, it is evident that the solution must also be scalable. From the very beginning, we have been determined to build a scalable and ethical service model where expert support is enhanced with tools such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. In this way, we can offer the best possible help and solutions even for large communities.
To pursue our vision, we also do advocacy work and are present in the media to draw attention to the extent, severity, effects, and prevention of the phenomenon in the public discourse and decision-making.
